The Melbourne Cup Carnival is just around the corner and it’s the perfect excuse to get all dolled up with your girlfriends.

The Melbourne Cup Carnival is the style and glamour event of the year. It’s taking place in November from Saturday 3 – Saturday 10 with four unique racedays.
- AAMI Victoria Derby Day – Considered the best single day of thoroughbred racing in Australia, if not the world and tends to be quite a sophisticated day in the fashion sense. Women traditionally wear black and white. It really sets the tone for the rest of Carnival.
- Emirates Melbourne Cup Day – The focal point of the Carnival, reaching its peak at 3pm when everyone comes to a stand still to watch the race. The prize – Melbourne Cup trophy which is 4kg of sold gold and worth over $150 000 and 6 mil in prize money.
- Crown Oaks Day - Oaks Day is traditionally known as ‘Ladies Day’ and is the ‘Ultimate Style Day’. This is when the finals of the Myer Fashions on the Field competition are held, and the winner walks away with around $100 000 worth of prizes, including a Lexus convertible.
- Emirates Stakes Day - This is widely recognised as ‘Family Day’ as there are lots of free activities throughout the day for the kiddies, and even a kids Fashions on the Field competition. It’s also a great day for racing and tends to be more relaxed with less crowds. It’s all about chilled, laid-back style.
