We recently had the chance to interview an up and coming singer and songwriter, Kelly! Or better known by her stage name as Erith.

Erith began her musical journey quite young. At the age of 12, she started out with an alternative rock band called Urban Legends. Our girl boss then went on to open for Passenger in 2014.

Now she is back with a brand new single! Erith said that over the years she’s learned that communication is a huge part of any relationship. It was the inspiration behind ‘Talk’.

We’re a bit nosey here at NZGirl, and we wanted to get to know her a little better with a set of rapid-fire questions! We think she did pretty well.

Since summer is fast approaching, we’re dying to know what your summer road trip song is!

Tove Lo – Cool Girl definitely sets the vibe according to Erith and we agree!

If there was anyone in the world you could collaborate with whom would it be and why?

Calvin Harris and Flume (for obvious reasons). We hope to hear these collaborations soon.

At nzgirl, we’re all about indulging a little and we wanted to know what her go-to indulgence was.

Food of course! Erith told us she had a soft spot for Five Borough’s pancakes and bottomless coffee.  YUM!

Aside from making music, we wanted to know if she had any other hobbies.

Cooking, baking, crocheting! (so impressive)  – she’s a girl of many talents.

What TV show are you currently binge watching?

She told us she loved The Mindy Project and that Morgan was her favourite character.

Who is your style icon?

Alice Catherine. Erith told us she loved the new wave French style and that Alice even inspired her to cut her bangs!

Make sure you give Erith a follow on Facebook Twitter and on Instagram.
