Using hair oil can be a mixed bag. Some you have to apply very sparsely in order not to end up looking like you dipped your head in a deep fryer, others seem to leave your hair feeling worse than before. So needless to say I was a little sceptical about trying Dove’s latest attempt at this product.
I have quite damaged, thin hair and even though I have a lot of it, I am wary about putting products in it that are going to weigh it down. I thought the real test would be to put it in dry hair as these sorts of products seem to work in my hair wet but often just make it seem really oily when I use them dry.
The first thing I noticed was the smell – it is divine! As soon as I started working it through, my friends quickly asked if they could try it too as the scent was rather inciting.
The next pleasant surprise was that the product was so easy to distribute. It is a lovely light formula and it doesn’t just end up all over your hands instead of in your hair. The results were pleasing – my hair felt really soft and didn’t look greasy.
I have continued to use this product daily, and my hair is in better condition than it has been in a long time, so I will definitely be purchasing another bottle when this one runs out!
