With a weekend on my hands, and assignments to do, going on instructables.com is a great way to allow me to procrastinate, and make things at the same time. There are lots of boots to make on the website, transform your old boots into furry boots, plus heaps of ways to use sweaters to make gloves, shrugs, mittens etc, which is great if you can sorce old sweaters cheaply, or if theres a favourite one that has too many holes, too small and has reached the end of its wearable life.
Making sweater boots is a great way to make a pair of boots to muck around the house in, or if you have a pair of less than chic flat shoes that you regret buying. The instructions have great pics, its step by step so you cant get lost. You can download the PDF that the author has provided, and can view the steps one at a time, or all together.
Time to get out the glue gun!
