Perhaps this is where Glee got their inspiration?
I don’t know how to say this without offending many Miley fans – but Disney really has nothing on Jem & the Holograms.
Jem & the Holograms is a love that my family & I all share, perhaps it is the girly make up or the burst into song in every episode; but Jem really is a treasure that cannot be taken for granted.
Love stories and fueds between the infamous Misfits truly captured my eye throughout this series – and sadly the only reason I experienced this goodness was because my older cousins handed down their VHS tapes of the pink haired goddess.
Who would have thought that neon eye makeup, feather boas & out of the ordinary hair colour would be so exciting. Jem & the Holograms is ‘Truely Outrageous.’
The cartoon series aired in the 80′s and was a hit! Jem was the lead character and lead the pop band with the rest of the girls ‘The Holograms’. The show followed the lives of the band members and their enemy competition ‘The Misfits’.
The Misfits were the opposite of Jem & The Holograms – think rebelius/punk attire compared to Jem’s girly glamour.
The mutual love of Jem & the Holograms will forever be something that my sisters and I will always agree to watch.
Check out one of my fav songs…
