After baby number one, i found it took alot of time, exercise and diet to get back to my prepregnancy size. When I was pregnant with baby number two, I came across Belly Bandit. It is basically a thick tummy wrap, that does up with velcro. Designed to be worn straight after pregnancy, these suck you in, and help support your skin and muscles. I went from a size 10 prepregnancy, and put on 22kgs, so I found this invaluable when feeding, as it helped my posture, and held my stomach in when I bent over to change baby. An added bonus is that it took inches off my waist, and got rid of bumps and lumps. My midwife remarked that I had lost alot of weight ( I hadn’t been able to fit behind the steering wheel in the last 3 weeks of pregnancy).
All you do is wrap the band around you tummy, and do it up with the velcro. I found that lying down, I could do it up tighter, and you wear it 24hrs a day, taking it off to shower. Although you are meant to wear this straight after birth, I had a c-scetion, so I waited a week after birth, and wore it lower down.
All in all, I found these great, they keep their value if you onsell them on Trademe.
