I have recently started baking and have stumbled across the Chelsea Sugar website. Its full of fantastic recipes which are rated by other kiwis so you know what works. The recipes are also given a difficulty rating. My new favourite recipe is the Chocloate and Apricot Anzac bikkies which are delicious and super easy to make!
