Add a twist to the traditional high tea party, invite your girlfriends around for a gorgeous iced tea one instead.
Inspired by the delicious new NESTEA Iced Tea range we’ve compiled our favourite tips on how to host the world’s best iced tea party.

To start, let’s get inspired. Flick through our gallery below for our favourite ideas for iced tea parties!
Now time for the basics…
1: The theme
Choose your theme and then centre every aspect of the party around this. Here are some we think are pretty cute…
- Vintage High Tea
- Nautical
- Alice in Wonderland
- Mad Hatter
- By colour
2: The invite
Send each guest an invite by mail – this will make them feel more special than receiving a text or Facebook Event. Make it easy and use pre-made invites like this one here.
3: The décor checklist
Essentials…
- pretty glasses
- iced tea pitcher/jug
- iced tea stirrer/spoon
- tea plates
- pastry or dessert forks
- napkins
- cupcake stands/white platters – make, buy, hire or borrow
- table/chairs/picnic rug
Niceties…
- paper straws – store them in a cute mason jar/tumbler on the table
- fairy lights – set the mood by draping them around your setting
- pick fresh flowers like hydrangeas and display them in big jars/vases
Final touches…
- DIY fruit ice cubes. Or freeze pre-made tea into cubes, so the tea won’t dilute.
- bunting flags – make and hang these cute DIY bunting flags
- checkered table cloth + doilies
4: The menu
Think gourmet finger food that’s a mix of sweet and savoury delights and can be prepared the night before. Serve on tiered cupcake stands and large white platters.
Known party pleasers (click on each to find a recipe)…
- Cupcakes
- Macaroons
- Club sandwiches
- Pikelets
- Scones with cream and jam
- Lamingtons
- Fresh fruit kebab
- Caprese Salad
5: The iced tea
Find some tasty ‘mocktail’ recipes here!
This is the easy bit with NESTEA Iced Tea sachets. Mix one sachet with 500ml of water to make up a pitcher of tea. Chill and serve with ice. Slice up a lemon or orange and add it into the jug. You may even like to sprinkle rose petals on top to decorate the jug.

The sachets come in boxes of ten and there’s two flavours to chose from – Peach and Lemon. Have a jug of both circulating the table to suit everyone’s tastes. Plus if you run out – it’s super easy to make up another 500mls.
