Homemade frosted whisky bottle

I’ve recently found a blog called 52 weeks project, with one new DIY tutorial project each week for yep, you guessed it, 52 weeks. This one for a homemade frosted whisky bottle caught my eye. Perfect for those with a penchant for old glass bottles and retro interiors!

Time: 15-20 minutes

Materials: A glass bottle, frosted glass paint (from Bunnings warehouse or online), a sponge or brush for application,  craft tape or medical tape (just not sellotape!) to create your design.

Instructions:

  1. Create your design by taping over the parts of the bottle you don’t want to be frosted
  2. Use a sponge, brush or spray to apply the paint, depending on the effect you want (this one has been sponged)
  3. Remove the tape and remove any drips with a cotton bud, then leave to air dry in the sun.
  4. Fill your homemade frosted glass bottle with whisky or your favourite spirit, then set it on your shelf looking all debonair and sophisticated.
