D.I.Y Camera Filter

If you love playing around with photo effects on apps such as Instagram but you prefer to use your real camera, then you’ll love this D.I.Y photo filter idea from A Beautiful Mess.

Simply take some pieces of transparency and cut them to be about an inch wider than your camera lens. Use markers to colour them in – play around with different widths, shapes and colours.

To take the photo, simply hold up one of the D.I.Y filter in front of your lens and snap away. You’ll need to experiment a bit to get the look that you’re after.
