Who were last years biggest stars?

The first month of 2013 has gone by so quickly; lets have a look at some of 2012′s greatest hits.

Local act Six60 claimed #1 spot for biggest-selling local act and they also came 5th for Best Selling Album in 2012. But once again it was Adele who came under the spotlight…

The Queen of soul was crowned with the title for Best Selling Album in 2012.
Adele’s ‘21’ maintained the prestigious title for a total of 12 weeks and charting for 48 weeks. It became was the year’s longest running #1 album. ‘21’ also set a new longevity record of 38 (non-consecutive) weeks at #1, across 2011 and 2012 combined.

Adele isn’t the only brit that is taking over. It seemed like 2012 was the year for One Direction. The boys’ debut set ‘Up All Night’ registered for a second year on The Chart, making #1 for three weeks and taking out the #2 spot for bestselling album in 2012. Their second album ‘Take Me Home’ also opened at #1, giving the boys two #1 sets in a calendar year.

Another boy band is gaining popularity… this time a local group formed by The Edge.
Titanium rose to success with the boys claiming a local #1 single with ‘Come On Home’ and two other chart hits with ‘I Won’t Give Up’ and ‘Sky’.

I wonder what 2013 has in store for us?
