I’m one of those girls who spend far too much time on YouTube. So much that I feel like I know every major YouTube star far too well! Now you might see this as a problem, but I have no regrets when YouTube allows us to meet amazing artists such as Karmin before anyone else does!
Who is Karmin you ask? There is a 99.9% chance you have come across their chart topping single Brokenhearted (watch the video here) – a delicious combination of dance and pop at its finest.
However, even though this track may have been the first you’ve heard of Karmin, they’ve actually been around a while. The duo first appeared on YouTube in August 2010 and since then have had over 219 million hits!
Made up of Amy Heidemann (vocals) and Nick (Louis) Noonan (all-rounder) – these two YouTube sensations got together at Berklee’s College of Music and to make it even sweeter – they’re engaged! So cute!
Amy is not only a talented singer, but a talented rapper! When the duo asked their fans whether they wanted either rapping or singing on the EP it was surprising to see that the response was very 50/50. You might not be a ‘rap’ fan but Karmin have the talent to take it to a new level! (And make it listenable!)
Taking on numerous different genres the two quickly built a cult following on YouTube performing covers like Chris Brown’s Look at me Now, Super Bass by Nicky Minaj and Adele’s Someone Like You. Check these out below – they are differently worth a watch!

It’s no surprise the pair got picked up by famous music producer L.A. Reid (the same man who signed Justin Bieber) and signed to Empire Records in June of last year.
