Take a moment to stop and smell the flowers
If you find yourself in Hamilton with an hour or two to kill, you should definitely check out the Hamilton Gardens.
There is something for every nature lover, with a number of different collections to explore. Take a stroll through the Bussaco Woodland, admire the roses in the Rogers Rose Garden, get some ideas for your own garden while walking around the Sustainable Backyard, or escape to the serenity of the Japanese Garden of Contemplation.
My favourite is the Italian Renaissance garden (pictured below), with its bronze statue that pays tribute to the ancient story of Romulus and Remus. It’s a wonderful place to sit and take in your surroundings.
The Hamilton Gardens are free to visit, so make sure you pop by next time you’re in Hamilton!
