Children of Liberty by Paullina Simons

Fans of The Bronze Horseman series will be sure to fall in love with Children of Liberty, the new book by Paullina Simons.

A love story set at the turn of the century, Children of Liberty features Gina Attaviano, a young Italian immigrant, and Harry Barrington, a wealthy, intelligent man seven years older than Gina.

Despite their families and the expectations placed upon them, Gina and Harry fall into a heart-breaking love story that will have you both savouring the novel and racing to the end.

Well worth reading in its own right, lovers of The Bronze Horseman trilogy will recognize this as a prequel to the characters of Jane Barrington, Harold Barrington and Alexander Barrington.

At 421 pages, it is a decently long book and would be a perfect read for long days lazing on the beach as summer draws closer.
