While in Wellington last week, Hayley and I were invited to check out the new Portlander Restaurant located within Ridges Hotel.
This grill house has the perfect mix of wild game, free range meats and fresh succulent seafood.
The main highlight has to be the Portlander Steak menu. From fillet to rump, rib to wagyu. Pick you cut and size, then your sauce and side dishes. Yes ladies it’s all about the meat!
For entrees we had the King Crab Legs and Beef Carpaccio. The crab legs blew us away and the carpaccio was my fave dish of the night.
Mains had to consist of steak which Hayley chose and I had the Pistachio Lamb. Anything with garlic mash and I can’t resist!
The non food highlight of our night had to be Ivan, our waiter. Super pleasant guy that made the dining experience all the better.
For those in Wellington I suggest you take the time to dine. Ask for Ivan and you won’t be disappointed!
