The Converse One Star sneaker began life nearly 50 years ago, in 1974. And surprise, surprise, was actually a basketball shoe. Then when skateboarding became mainstream, the One Star owned the show. Cue the ’90s, the infamous grunge, slacker era, and the One Star in black suede reigned supreme. Not gonna lie, this shoe adorned my footsies.

Roll onto 2017 and say hello to the new matte leather Converse One Star with perforations for a fresh new look and yep, even ventilation. But today’s shoe is complete with high tech ultra comfortable cushioning and a vulcanised rubber sole for optimal traction. Is this the festival shoe for summer?
