The Converse One Star sneaker began life nearly 50 years ago, in 1974. And surprise, surprise, was actually a basketball shoe. Then when skateboarding became mainstream, the One Star owned the show. Cue the ’90s, the infamous grunge, slacker era, and the One Star in black suede reigned supreme. Not gonna lie, this shoe adorned my footsies.
