The skincare brand has reformulated some of its Daylight Defense products to provide even more UV protection for your skin.

For this week’s Tried & Tested review, I’ve put the new formula for Dermalogica’s Solar Defense Booster to the test.
What are the benefits?
- Increased SPF
- Higher level of UV protection
- Enhanced photo protection against harmful UV rays via free radicals antioxidant
- No unwanted oiliness or chalkiness so it’s easier to wear
- Longer lasting protection
You can use it in two different ways; either by applying directly to your face and neck or by mixing it in equal parts with your moisturiser or foundation.
I prefer to mix it in with my moisturiser or foundation, and I just do this on the back of my hand. Do remember that you need to mix half and half, because if you just add it to your usual amount of moisturiser you’ll end up wasting product – definitely not something you want to do!
My verdict…
This is something I have dreamed of for years – a way to protect my skin from sun damage without having to slather on the sun screen underneath my foundation.
Like all Dermalogica products, the Solar Defense Booster glides on nicely and smells delicious, and it left my skin feeling soft and silky smooth.
