Does the name Matt Corby mean anything to you?
Well it will soon. This singer/song writer is one talented man. Not only is he extremely lucky in the looks department, but he has also been blessed with the voice of what can only be described as a mix between Jeff Buckley and Jesus.
Matt rose to fame on Australian idol in 2007 finishing the season in second place and touring ever since. As a result, his sound has adapted a certain edge, and he has proved that his name is one to be remembered. His EP ‘Into the flame’ has just been certified a 4X Platinum status in his homeland across the ditch. He is currently traveling around Australia performing his sold out ‘winter’ tour.
Matt’s songs are refreshing, honest and they have the ability to captivate the soul. I am not the only one who seems to be bewitched by his music. This year he has also been nominated for two APRA awards (Breakthrough songwriter of the year, song of the year).
He has released four EPs since his idol days and I would recommend them all. Take the time to listen to his single ‘Brother’ and I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

So if you like what you hear and you want to take a break from the ‘oh so meaningful’ lyrics of Nicki Minaj, then I suggest you listen to Matt.
He is not hard on the eyes either- so watch some videos on his YouTube channel.
I can’t wait to hear what he comes up with next. He is definitely one artist you need to discover.
