Celebrate Snow Season! Queenstown Winter Festival 2012
It’s official, the big chill has arrived and the snow bunnies are coming out to play! Kicking off winter in style, Queenstown Winter Festival has become a highlight on the snow season calendar.
Running from 22 June – 1 July, Queenstown will be abuzz with up to 45,000 people converging on the town to celebrate the snow! The festival starts with a bang on opening night, with a massive party in the streets and an amazing fireworks display to light up the night sky.
Events throughout the festival are sure to draw a crowd, with everything from a fashion evening, sheep racing and the famed Birdman jump off Queenstown Wharf.
Definitely worth a trip south, Winter Festival has guaranteed fun for the whole family!
