The Nike Training Club app is like having a personal trainer where ever you go. The app is designed to get you fit, strong, toned and lean and the best thing is it’s free. Plus you can do it all at home with minimal equipment.
Nike Training Club contains over 60 full body workouts, at different levels and different time frames, so you can pick at what level and intensity you want to work out at. You can choose your own music to workout to, watch videos of the drills so you can get your form right. Plus, as you progress you earn bonus workout rewards which is a great way to keep motivated.
At the launch of the Nike Free+ 3 shoe, I chatted to trainer Marie Purvis about the Nike Training Club app. Marie Purvis is an international trainer-of-trainers who custom built the Nike Training Club workouts, using a functional training style. Marie says the benefits of functional training are that it works out the whole body with lots of variety and will get you from point A to point B the fastest in terms of results. And how much do you need to do a week to notice results? “Just 2-3 times a week for an hour with functional training”, Marie says.
And after doing a 30 minute functional training session with Marie, I could see how it would give you results, I could feel my muscles working, I was puffed and sweating. And I could definitely feel I’d worked my whole body the next day.
