DEVOURING_Chocolate Chip Cookie Ice Cream Sandwiches
Let’s face it, it’s a little too cold for a bowl of ice cream for dessert at the moment, unless you are lucky enough to be eating in front of a roaring fire. So why not team it with some chocolate chip cookies and call it a sandwich. I made these delights for a pot luck last week and they went down a treat. Difficult to transport, you’ll need to be able to assemble them on site or better yet make them at home and eat them all yourself. A definitely delicious fresh winter treat. Note the recipe misses the much needed 1 cup of cream from the ingredients list! Get the recipe here.

TURNING OVER_’Hola/Adios Cushions’
I can’t wait to have this two sided print cushion proudly placed in my lounge for our next unsuspecting house guest. One side says ‘HOLA!’ and the other ‘ADIOS!’ Perfect for when your guests outstay their welcome – just turn the cushion over & let it do the work for you! Made here in New Zealand by the wonderful folk at Swonderful in Wellington, but if you aren’t a capital dweller you can get it online too for $45.00.
LOVING_’Don’t Mess with OPI’
An envy coloured green which perfectly compliments a winter wardrobe. I spotted this on a friend and was so pleased to discover it was a trustworthy OPI colour. A great pop of colour for your nails and it’s not harsh against feet either! #love Find it at OPI stockists nationwide.

LUSTING FOR_PIA Boutique
Pia Naera is the creative brains behind the fresh PIA Boutique, which is barely a month old. An incredible mix of digital graphics and amazing cuts, I was lusting over all of her dresses before I’d even got to the tops and pants. The Celestial Blush Dress ($180.00) has me sold, with its soft flowy skirt. I can definitely see it paired with tights over winter until it’s time to let loose on those spring and summer parties. Pia’s designs are proudly made here in New Zealand and the price tags don’t pack a punch. What’s not to like?
LOOKING FORWARD TO_Hold Fast
Opening tonight in Auckland is Hold Fast. A space in the heart of the city for independent labels to share their incredible talent with the public, at 5b High St in the CBD. Hold fast supports locally made products, showcasing 10 ingenious artists, among them are the Cut Collective Crew, Hunter Gatherer and Miss Tiki, plus vintage legends Fly by Night and cupcake extraordinaire Miss Melicious will be there too. Open for a whole week, I’m hoping to get along to the first night but no doubt I’ll be back again before the week is through.
