Combining fashion, art and philanthopy, Kathryn Wilson’s ‘Art of Footwear’ event at the exclusive Northern Club was one of the most glamourous events of the year so far. Launching her beautiful Winter 2013 collection and raising money for Ronald McDonald House at the same time, guests found themselves in a stunning room surrounded by brilliant artworks from local artists, all inspired by women’s love of shoes, that were auctioned off on the night live in the room.
With clever technology by Vodafone, which allowed silent bidding on tablets and by mobile phones, guests were treated to champagne and canapes whilst the bidding wars commenced over the course of the evening. Models in gorgeous Pleasure State lingerie also showcased Kathryn’s new collection in displays which evoked Cinderella and an exquisite shoe encrusted with diamonds by Orsini was also auctioned (that shoe was one that dreams are made of!).
It was such a pleasure to attend such a wonderful night and Kathryn Wilson & the team at Showroom 22 created such an unforgettable evening that raised a significant amount for an important cause. You can find out more about the work of Ronald McDonald House and make a donation on their website.
