Fibre Lashes Review

Long, luscious lashes is something we’re all lusting for! There are numerous mascaras out on the market that claim to add length and volume – but do they really work? I’ve put five lengthening mascaras to the test out to

find out.

Here are my picks of the bunch!

L’Oreal Lash architect 4D

This mascara contains “sculpting fibres” which are meant to thicken and lengthen your lashes. The brush is pretty skinny so easy to use if your heavy handed. It thickens and lengthens pretty well in only one coat, with no smudging or smearing. It has good staying power and yet comes off pretty easily with a makeup wipe.

ModelCo Fibre Lash

This is a three step process where you apply the mascara, then the fibres, then cover up the fibres with another coat of mascara. It’s a lot quicker than it sounds and it’s pretty effective I have to say! Definitely a great alternative to false lashes.

Maybelline Illegal Length Fibre Extensions

This gives great length to the lashes (claims 4mm but I didn’t get out my ruler). I’d say more for lengthening than volume but still a great all round mascara for everyday use.

Maybelline Volum’Express Mascara

This one really does it all. It gives incredible length and volume without any real clumping at all! The brush is curved so gives a bit of a curl to the lashes too. A definite favourite.

Love Alfha Mascara and Fibre

This is another one where you first apply the transplanting gel, then the fibres. It works really well and the fibres are black so pretty easy to apply. It actually gives pretty amazing volume and good length too.
