With Winter almost over (wishful thinking?!), it’s time to turn our heads to the exciting new looks that Spring brings! One of the trends that has caught my eye is the pretty pastels that we are starting to see hit the shops. From mint, to pale pink and gorgeous sunny yellow, there is a pastel out there for everyone! And seeing there are so many options to choose from, I have done all the hard work for you! After hours of online shopping dedicated research, I have found these three pieces to help you add a hit of pastel to your Spring look….
1. Mint jeans from Dotti RRP $59.95 (click here to buy)
If you don’t think pastel will suit you but you still want to give this trend a try, these jeans are a great place to start. As the pastel colour doesn’t sit next to your face, they won’t potentially wash you out (which can happen with pastels and some skin tones). Match these back with a top in a colour that works next to your skin…. here are some wearing options courtesy of Pinterest….
2. Pastel pink blazer from Topshop RRP $75 (approx) (click here to buy)
So this is one way you could wear pastel on the top half of your body. Pastel blazers will look fresh with a white top underneath, it makes the pastel really pop. Pair the blazer and white top with a classic pair of dark denim jeans for a structured look or wear over a printed dress to tone down the print. Again, thanks Pinterest for providing some inspiration.
3. Pretty pastel shoes. All of them!
I LOVE shoes – and one of the things I love about shoes is that they are a great way to easy your way into a trend. If you don’t want to fork out for a new pair of jeans, or a blazer, or a dress then try a pair of shoes…. and because I love shoes so much, I can’t choose just one…. so here are a few!
1. Asos.com stiletto leather heels $156 (click here to buy)
2. Asos.com pink lace up flats $51.19 (click here to buy)
3. Asos.com nude Mary Jane heels $114.17 (click here to buy)
So there are a few of my favourite pretty pastels coming our way for Spring. Do you think you will be wearing pastels this Spring? How are you going to wear this trend?
