Despite the fact that I’m now on a budget, I managed to make two fabulous purchases this month, a pair of boots from Overland and a fabulously functional Country Road black cotton slip – totally guilt free! The Fuelray boots are my favourites, I’ve been wearing them just about everyday – obsessive much? The lovely Nadia inspired me with her own pair, they’re just so versatile with the black leather, ruching around the ankle and slight heel, and they manage to make my hoofers look dainty and petite!

My sister and I went on a power shop last week; two hours, three tops, three dresses, one pair of boots and a headband later, and my shopping senses were on fire! I’ve had one pair of black boots for the past two years, and they have served me oh-so-well, but there comes a time when enough is enough. So, what did I do? I went and bought the exact same style of boot in a different colour! OK, so I’m not very creative but I love the style, they are so comfy and go with everything, and I love the new tan colour. Hopefully these bad boys last just long as my last pair!

When reading Frankie magazine one day I stumbled across this adorable little panda. It was for a competition they were running and though I did enter, I wasn’t going to take my chances so, I emailed Dina at One Luv Designs to see how I could get my hands on one. The awesome Dina managed to track one down for me and sent it over from Australia! It looks great teamed with jeans and a waist coast or just hanging in my room for me to admire. I just love anything with wings – so I just had to get my hands on this pretty book! This is a beautiful book containing over 500 photographs of all different species of butterflies and moths. Although I am impressed by its educational and scientific value – I got it for the pictures! They are all so beautifully and skilfully shot, showcasing the shapes, colours, textures and markings of the insects. I have always had a thing for butterflies - I even wore butterfly hair jewellery at my wedding!

Rather than a buy this month I’m focusing more on a ‘lust’. Nadia in the office has a brilliant pair of orchard green boots that I’m very envious of! I came across this VERY nice pair from the Pulp Noir range while checking out their new concept store in Auckland. I love the colour, the cut, and especially the slouch! They’re flattering, very now and affordable – all I have to do is get in there and buy them!
