Bonnie Bunny road tests L’Oreal Feria

Every girl should undertake the pleasure of dying their hair at least once in their life.

I personally, am a self-confessed addict!

There is nothing like a good change of colour to pull yourself from a bad mood or give yourself that pampering you deserve. Pick the right shade and you can make your eyes come alive or your skin shade magically transform from beach brown to porcelain perfect or visa versa just by changing the colour of your hair.

Lately I have become quite religious about which brand of hair dye I use. L’Oreal Feria is awesome. It takes that mesh-mash of regrowth and patchiness, which my hair always resorts to after I leave it too long, and transforms it all into a beautiful length of solid colour. They talk about multi-faceted light reflecting colour and they mean it. Your hair gleams!

I went into the L’Oreal office the other week and they sized me up for a change. I usually use L’Oreal Feria Chocolate Cherry but they suggested Cinnamon instead. I originally thought it was a soft choice and wouldn’t really make a difference. As you can see, I was wrong (trust the experts).

On a rainy Saturday afternoon I went over to my friend Amy’s house. We made dessert, rented a movie and snuggled in for a girly day in. Now the twist in the story is that although I love my friend to death she isn’t interested in dying hair. Her lack of enthusiasm was apparent so I had to resort to my back up – my boy, the hairdresser. Now although he is a painter by day, slip those plastic gloves on and you have a professional hair transformer on your hands (he’s so sweet – but a bit camera shy).

In one afternoon I went from regrowth girl, to goop on head girl, in just 30 minutes. The L’Oreal ladies pointed out that despite my previous ‘slap it all on she’ll be right’ philosophy maybe a few tricks could come in handy;
a) Use two boxes of dye so that you get full coverage (especially since my hair is getting longer)
b) Apply dye to the roots and leave for 10 minutes and then apply dye to the rest of your head and leave for 20. What do you know – it worked!

Think about it;

1. - If a boy can do it you can too
   - There is even an 0800 number on the pack – in case something goes wrong
2. - It’s a heck of a lot cheaper than doing it at the hairdressers
3. - It is an awesome way to feel like a million dollars
4. - Your hair never smells as good as it does just after it’s been dyed
