This week we have a great product to keep you clean and
fresh, the best sunglasses and the hottest nail polish shades…
Ray-Ban Wayfarers
The time has come to ditch your over-sized Nicole Richie inspired sunnies for a much edgier look. Everyone who’s anyone in Hollywood has been spotted sporting a pair of Ray-Ban Wayfarers and if you don’t want to be left behind the fashion pack, pick up a pair to get you through the summer. I’m loving this red pair, which are a fresh twist on the classic black style. Picture them teamed with a cute sun dress, a retro inspired bikini and some strappy flat sandals for a day at the beach. The best bit is, these babies will only set you back $149.95 from Sunglass Hut.
NIVEA Deodorant Energy Fresh
For years and years I only trusted roll on deodorant to keep me feeling fresh, until I discovered NIVEA Pearl & Beauty spray, which I’m addicted to. Well was addicted to, until this week when I got sent NIVEA’s latest deodorant offering. NIVEA Deodorant Energy Fresh has a really refreshing scent, which combines apple, lemongrass and grapefruit for a beautifully non-cloying fragrance. Featuring the great NIVEA 24-hour protection formula (which really works!), this is the perfect smell to take you through to summer. Luckily there is a roll-on variant too, if you just can’t live without it!
Sky Tower’s 10th Birthday
Auckland’s Sky Tower turns 10 this weekend, which to be honest, is freaking me out a bit because it means a whole decade has passed since I was 14! Some days I’m sure I was only just a teenager, then I hear something like that and feel so old. Anyway, my ageing woes aside, if you’ve never made it up the tower, this is a great weekend to give it a go because there will be heaps of birthday fun going on (including free cake – woohoo!). Plus adult tickets are only $10 from Friday August 3 to Sunday August 5 and kids are free. So gather up some nieces and nephews and make a day of it. Head to www.skytower.co.nz for more info on the weekend’s events.
L’Oreal Pro Manicure Polish
I love a good nail polish and while I’ll never get back to the insane collection I had in my teens (it numbered more than 30 different colours!), I am again in the habit of stocking up on pretty hues. Recently I tried the new L’Oreal Pro Manicure range, which is a really nice product to use. The brush is specially designed so it’s very easy to get a professional look, the colours in the range are gorgeous and have great glossy finish, plus it contains Pro-Keratin complex to look after nail health. Most importantly it dries quickly and wears really well with minimal chipping. $13.49 RRP from pharmacies, department and variety stores.
Hotteeze for Feet
If there’s one thing in the world I hate more than anything it’s being cold. To me there is nothing worse than feeling chilly, especially if it’s my toes that are freezing. This problem has been made worse in our new office – the concrete floor looks cool, but it really works to suck the warmth out of your body! Luckily I was sent a nifty little product to try. Hotteeze for Feet are little stick on pads you affix inside your shoes, I have no idea how they work, but somehow they heat up to leave feet toasty and warm. You’ve got to love the Japanese… they think of the best products. At only $18.95 for a pack of 10, it’s money well spent. Click here for stockists
