Choose strong, bold and unique jewellery to compliment the dress and add a unique quality to your outfit. Go for dangley earrings, bold corsages, bright necklaces and sparkley rings… but not all at once! Choose a feature piece and stick with it. Too much jewellery will make you look like you’re trying too hard and you might resemble a Christmas tree.
Show your true colours. Adding a touch of colour to your LBD will make you look less like a wallflower and more like a diva. Choose a colour you love and create a theme around that colour. Go for matching shoes and bag, or earrings and shawl. Have fun with colour and you’ll soon be on your way to revamping your favourite little black dress.
Scarves, shawls and wraps make a great addition to any little black dress. Pashminas and detailed shawls look great draped around your shoulders. Not only will you look gorgeous but you’ll be warm too!
Shoes, glorious shoes. When wearing a little black dress do not…I repeat do not wear it with black shoes. You’ll either look like you’re off to a funeral or off to marry Marilyn Manson (where’s he gone by the way?). Too much black is depressing and boring. You need shoes with sparkle, colour, shimmer and detail to make your little black dress shine once again.
