At any time of year, our skin can be more sensitive than usual due to hormone changes, weather extremes, diets, air conditioning, sun and pollution. And for some, sensitive skin is a daily norm.

In fact, our 2017 skin is exposed to so much more than that of our grandmothers. The Environmental Working Group in the US revealed that modern women are exposed to a daily average of 126 chemicals from cosmetics, cleaning supplies, pollution and even the food they eat. Yikes. So if you need a reason to reach for natural, that might be it!

Whether it’s short term or ongoing, our sensitive skin needs specialised care to relieve the pesky niggles of redness and inflammation. Ouchie!

Thankfully the peops at Trilogy have heard the call and it has just released the new Trilogy Sensitive range, which includes all the goodies you need, with the Trilogy Very Gentle Restoring Oil, Hydra-Mask, Eye Cream, Cleansing Cream, Calming Serum, and the Moisturising Cream (RRP $43.99 – 52.99). It’s simple, luxurious and very, very kind to skin.

The goal with sensitive skin is to protect the weakened skin barrier and rebuild the skin’s own natural protective defence function. It’s important to choose products rich in gentle moisturising and emollient ingredients, and free from essential oils, fragrances and irritating alcohols and chemicals.

So, I decided to take a closer look at some of Trilogy’s Sensitive’s natural ingredients and why they’re so good for our skin:
