WANTING_The perfect Halloween face
It’s one week away and the pressure is ON! We’ve narrowed down our fave Halloween faces. Shaaanxo’s Elsa from Frozen is the perfect look if you’re wanting less spook factor. Emily’s corpse bride is as original as any we’ve seen (as are her other Halloween looks here). But if you want to DIY and get a few skills under your tool belt, a Halloween make-up lesson for you and friend with Samantha Fernandes from The Magic Brush will cost $135 if you book through Flossie Concierge. You’ll be able to work it like a pro come next Friday! And keep your eyes on our Facebook page for a our delicious and slightly creepy Halloween competition next week!
NEEDING_Raw Desserts app
If you’re over the sugar highs and lows but still want to enjoy a tasty morsel or five, Raw Desserts app is for you. This app will power you with amazing and tasty raw food recipes to treat your body from the inside out. It was created by holistic health coach and certified raw foods chef & educator Lauren Glucina, from Ascension Kitchen, who is a passionate advocate for whole foods. Her delectable recipes (more than 50 and growing) replace refined sugars, rancid oils and toxic colourings with creative alternatives like raw cacao, nut milks, super foods and flower essences. Enjoy!
This event reminds us why Kiwis are awesome! Dreamers is a charity Circus event happening this Sunday Labour Weekend and brings together New Zealand’s best circus performers for a one-off night of inspiration and delight. It is dedicated to 5-year-old Maddy who is living with Cerebral Palsy and cannot walk. The performers are donating their time, and a whole host of amazing sponsors have come together, to help Maddy get the treatment she needs to walk unassisted. Tickets are start at $35 or $55 for the full VIP treatment, and are available here.
