Kiwi songstress Hollie Smith is known for her amazing voice, and more recently success overseas. Whilst I love her songs, I’m personally a big fan of her style which walks the line between glam and alternative. We show you how to emulate her style; from her gorgeous hair and makeup, to her dressed up jeans chic.
Denim Casual
Cute sneakers and a tee are great casual wear basics. We mix them up with some tailored yet easy wear jeans, and a structured cardi from kiwi brand Stitch Ministry. The look sums up Hollie’s dressed down yet put together style – and is a great example of how classic basics can form a great outfit.

2: Sass & Bide Cortez Slim Bootleg Jean (baltic) $264.00 from MyCatwalk
Live in your denim? Well so does Hollie! This great look is just one example of how you can walk the line between dressy and dressed down with a few layering pieces and some good basics. We chose a skinny leg for the most versatility, but a straight leg would work just as well. A little colour and some flat boots create a fun look without sacrificing comfort.
When it comes to Hollie, there is no escaping that the girl has a natural beauty – and she generally dosent wear a lot of makeup (she really doesn’t need too!). The most important thing here is to do the basics, and do them well. Start with a good base, you can’t really go further than a classic foundation. We love the best selling Moisture Mist Beauty Cake (1) which is a classic product specially formulated by Shiseido for New Zealand girls. Follow that up with a little eye colour (2) and a double coat of mascara (3). Matte hydrating lippie finishes the look (4).
