All savvy nzgirl's know how important it is to squeeze in some daily exercise, but only the savviest know how to keep it fun and easy! We've compiled our five favourite ways to workout in the weekends - they are all super easy and super fun (however they won't get you as toned as Giselle!). 1: Cleaning the house Believe it or not, doing your regular tidy up can really help you to relieve stress and work your body! It's estimated that at a medium level of exertion, house work can help you burn up to 300 calories an hour! So fling open the windows, pump the stereo and get moving with the vacuum, the washing machine, and the scrubbing brush! Best of all, you're killing two birds with one stone - fitting in both your chores and daily exercise!.
2: Dancing Weekends mean party time! So grab your girlfriends and hit the town. Dancing the night away is a great way to release tension, energy and get your blood pumping. It's also super fun and a great reason to get all glammed up and spend time with your friends (it's also a great excuse to meet some eligible men!).
3: Shopping Shopping is a seriously fun way to sneak in a bit of exercise time. If you think about it - all those long walks through malls, streets or markets really can add up to some serious pavement time. It's a super fun way to get your daily walk in! 4: Have sex! Sex is a fabulous way to get your blood pumping! Statistics show that you can lose around 50 calories for every 30 minutes that you spend getting hot and heavy between the sheets! So grab your man and get busy - and why not try a little experimentation while you're at it?!
5: Go for a scenic walk Make the most of our country's gorgeous outdoors and get walking! Whether it's a off to a pretty nearby park or along one of the many DOC scenic routes, you can't go wrong. It's an excellent way to get back to nature and check out some beautiful sites.
