March sees the release of a whole load of great books! From a book designed to help you plan the ultimate OE, to a hilarious Hollywood must read, right through to the ultimate boob bible, check out our hottest picks for the month here... Bonkers, Michelle HolmanBonkers is a witty account of what happens when angels aren’t afraid to mess with human lives. Lisa wakes up in hospital after a horrific car accident, shocked to find long black hair and an American accent where blonde curls and a Kiwi accent existed before. George the angel has swapped her body for that of Linda, an American woman involved in the accident. How Lisa copes with her transformation, not to mention her sexy doctor husband, who had been about to divorce Linda, makes for a hilarious read with some great twists. I particularly liked the Kiwi setting and the fantastic mix of tragedy and comedy that Michelle Holman has created. HarperCollins, RRP $26.99
Busting Out, Shirley ArcherIf you liked our Top Five Exercises for Perky Boobs and want to know more, then this is the book for you! Busting Out contains heaps of exercises and tricks to keep your girls in the very best of shape. It also has lots of entertaining trivia, such as the legend that Helen of Troy’s breast was used as a model for the first wine glass. As a well-endowed nzgirl, I found exercises like the 'Pushup for Perky Pumpkins' both hilarious and helpful, while there’s the 'Bosom Boosting Chest Press', and many more, for those who’d like to upsize.
With lots of advice on looking after your breasts, as well as dressing to accentuate what you’ve got, Busting Out is a fantastic read for women of all ages. Chronicle Books, RRP $19.99
Celebutantes, Ruthanna Hopper and Amanda GoldbergFor all those who thrive on Perez Hilton, this book is a must read. Celebutantes is written by two daughters of Hollywood elite and follows the comical and fast-paced adventures of Lola Santisi in the lead-up to Oscar night. Lola’s the ‘Daughter Of’ Paulie Santisi, a Hollywood director who hasn’t had a critical hit in eighteen years. She’s plagued by love troubles, in the fantastic form of SMITH (Sexiest Man In The Hemisphere), but also has to work with obnoxious A-listers and obscene C-listers in order to get someone to wear her best friend’s designs on Oscar night.
With a hugely entertaining cast of characters and tons of name-dropping, Celebutantes will keep you laughing all the way to the Oscars. Orion Books, RRP $27.99
The Witch’s Trinity, Erika MailmanThis engrossing novel follows Güde, an elderly woman in sixteenth-century Germany, as her village struggles with famine. The lack of food and decent weather drive the villagers to breaking point as they seek a cause of their misfortune, and a visiting priest directs them to seek out witches. Soon Güde’s best friend is accused, and with an ill-wishing daughter-in-law, Güde fears she will be next. The Witch’s Trinity is superbly written, and accurately portrays the lengths to which medieval people would go in order to rid themselves of anything the Church held to be wrong. Trinity is beautifully written and gripping from start to finish. Hodder & Staughton, RRP $38.99
