Around this time of year any extra cash is appreciated, but what if you could make a whopping $5,000 in just one day?
Don’t worry, there’s nothing dodgy involved! In fact, not only could you win some money but you’re guaranteed to have a whole lot of fun doing it!
On December 8 we’re hosting the Gillette Venus Breeze Volleyball Challenge and we want you to get involved. “Beach volleyball?!” I hear you gasp… “Doesn’t that involve teeny weeny bikinis?” Well, not when you’re playing nzgirl style.
We’re not really fond of strutting our stuff in miniscule crop tops either, so the focus with this competition is on getting active and enjoying a fun day out with your friends. Oh… and winning amazing prizes!
Up for grabs is a massive $5k cash for the winning team. There will also be great gear for the runners up, spot prizes for participants and even giveaways for spectators. Plus, by registering you’ll receive a goodie bag packed with bits and pieces to get you through the day.
Getting involved is easy. All you need to do is head to www.nzgirl.co.nz/volleyball where you’ll find loads of information about the day and a registration form so you can sign up either as a team or an individual. There’s only space for 20 teams, so get in quick to ensure you don’t miss out!
To make sure you’re prepared for the big day, we asked the nzgirl team (who are, of course, practicing like mad, but unfortunately still dropping balls all over the place!) to share some tips…
“Give your team a theme and get dressed up in cool costumes. There will be prizes for teams that go all out.” Amber
“Don’t forget sunblock! Since we’re hoping for a steaming hot day you’ll need plenty of sun protection to make sure you don’t get burnt.” Sarah
“Try and get some practice in before the big day. It’s a great excuse to organise a trip to a local beach with your team so you can get the basics sussed.” Gemma
“We’ve organised some super hot promo boys for the day, so make sure you keep an eye out for them!” Vicky
“Even if your friends don’t want to play, they can still come along and watch. There will be spot prizes for spectators… and those hot promo boys to check out!” Eve
“Don’t forget to eat breakfast and make sure you drink plenty of water so you don’t dehydrate. Nandos are coming along to keep us fed, so you’ll be able to buy a tasty lunch.” Liselle
