Web Review: ilovesales.co.nz

Love to shop? Then you’ll love new website ilovesales.co.nz.

This is the place to head if you want to stay in the loop about New Zealand’s hottest retail sales. ilovesales.co.nz doesn’t try to sell you anything, it’s just built on the premise that everyone deserves to know when a big sale is going down. A noble aim, which we definitely salute!

The Content
The site was born from the frustration of co-founder Sue Kohn-Taylor who was annoyed she always heard about sales after they’d happened. Given there’s always a big sale happening somewhere she came up with a site that makes it easy for people to keep up-to-date with what’s on offer, without having to trawl through newspapers and the tonnes of flyers that fill up the letterbox everyday. Membership is free and this allows you to set up a profile, which means you will receive offers tailored to your particular shopping needs. After a new couch? You can indicate this on your profile, then when you’ve found the perfect piece of furniture, remove this category so you don’t end up with buyer’s regret after you spot a better one!

The Appearance
The site is easy to navigate and the design has been kept simple to make finding the information you’re after a quick process. I love the subtle red and grey colour scheme, which is the antithesis of those garish, over the top sites that tend to make my eyes water! It’s easy to pass a lot of time browsing the site and searching through the 15 categories looking for your favourite brands.

The Extras
While anyone can browse the site, by signing up for weekly SALE-mail alerts you’ll get customised sale information delivered straight to your inbox, ensuring you never miss a sale again. Plus, if you sign up for this service you’ll go in the draw to win a $100 shopping voucher to spend at a store of your choice. They’re drawing winners every weekday until September 24, so there are lots of chances to win. By telling friends about the site you’ll have even more chances at winning those vouchers.

If you’re sold on the idea of never missing a bargain again (not to mention freeing up extra cash by becoming a bargain shopping queen) then head to www.ilovesales.co.nz and sign up now.

Gemma
