wracking read that’s impossible to put down.

The Club is a group of very powerful, very nasty men who will stop at nothing to get away with murder. Literally. Smarter than your average thriller, The Alibi Man is a compelling, poignant read. I instantly bonded with the ballsy character of Elena and was delighted to discover she features in other Tami Hoag books. Excellent.
 Dirty Blonde, Lisa Scottoline
I already enjoy any book by Lisa Scottoline, and Dirty Blonde was no exception. The sassy, beautiful Cate Fante is a newly sworn judge, and enjoying her new responsibilities. Sure, she’s still picking up dodgy guys in seedy bars, but what people don’t know about your private life won’t hurt you, right? Wrong. Boundaries are blurred as a seemingly simple case exposes her night-time secrets for all to judge. Bodies start turning up, a stalker is on the loose, and the press is having a field day. Can Cate redeem herself – and her reputation? A fast-paced, enjoyable read.
W ithout Consent, Kathryn Fox
Without Consent is a riveting crime story set in Australia. Pathologist Anya Crichton spends her days fighting for the rights of sexual assault victims, and her nights struggling to be a single mum. When a serial rapist starts killing his victims, Anya finds herself involved in a case that gets dangerously close to home. The book drags a bit in places (particularly descriptions of Anya at home – do we have to read about her making dinner each night?) but its plot twists make for a satisfying ending.
