Web Review: Spot Jobs

Looking for a job? Well these days the internet is the place to be. Spot Jobs is the best place to find jobs and courses in New Zealand quickly and easily.

With a wide range of courses on their database, Spot Jobs is definitely worth checking out if you’ve finished school and are looking at where to go next. They also have a variety of jobs, so whether you’re a new graduate or a seasoned professional, you’ll find what you need.

An advanced search engine makes searching through these courses and jobs fast and easy.

The Appearance:
The site is quite simple, and this is a good thing. So often websites are crammed full of information and are way too busy so it can be hard to know where to go or what to do. Not Spot Jobs. This site focuses on the advertising of jobs and courses, making it a great tool for people to find their dream job or course, and also for employers to recruit staff. The fact that the site is so specific means that what it does, it does very well.

The Content:

Spot Jobs has two types of searches. You can do either a ‘jobs’ search or a ‘courses’ search. The use of keywords means that your search results are very specific – so you’ll find your perfect job with less hassle. Once you’ve found a job you’re interested in you can add it to your own personal favourites list. This function allows you to manage your shortlisted jobs, making the whole job hunting process easier and less frustrating for you.

The Extras:

When you find a prospective job or course you can send it to someone in an email. You can also apply for it on the site, a feature which I think is great and wish was around when I was applying for jobs! No more printing out copies of your CV, just upload it to Spot Jobs with your contact details and send it off! Could it be any easier?

Overall Ranking: 9/10
Searching for a job or trying to choose a course is never easy, but with Spot Jobs, some of the hassle is taken away. The site is very user-friendly and you have thousands of cool jobs around New Zealand at your finger tips.

Check out Spot Jobs here.
