We’re all about heating things up this month, so take our challenges and make your June sizzle…
TAME
Treat yourself to a big snugly scarf. Winter is so much more tolerable when you’re warm and having something to wrap around your neck will leave you feeling much toastier. If you’re especially keen try knitting your own… Your grandmother should be able to teach you how!
Start taking a weekly bath. A long, luxurious bath is one of the perks of winter, so get serious about yours. Set aside a time each week for it, purchase some nice bubble bath, indulge in a few chocolates and a glass of wine, light some candles and settle in to read a good book.
INTERMEDIATE
Cook up and freeze some tasty dinners. It’s hard to find the motivation to throw a meal together when you get home on a freezing night, so spend a Sunday whipping up some soup or making a super lasagne which you can then freeze in individual portions to pull out as required.
Organise an old school sleepover for your closest friends. Sleeping bags, pizza, popcorn and lollies are all compulsory, as is a group trip to the local video store to make the picks for your movie marathon, but you can replace the soft drink with bubbly!
CHALLENGING
Take part in a mid-winter swim. It may not have you sizzling, but nothing will test your bravery like donning your bikini and plunging into icy cold water! Check local event sites or your community paper for details of a swim near you.
Head along to a pole dancing class! These are popping up all over the place, and you’ll be surprised at how much fun you'll have (not to mention what a great workout it is). Take a bunch of girlfriends and enjoy a glass of a wine and a giggle somewhere afterwards.
