Susie Cropper Jewellery

Renowned jewellery designer Susie Cropper, famous for jewellery brand Swing has just launched her brand new collection ‘Sea Goddess’. nzgirl walks you through the delicate and beautiful range.

Jewellery shouldn't just be a decoration but enhance personal style and show who you are. Susie Cropper has created a collection of jewellery which is about the experience of being a woman and all things feminine.

The range consists of semi precious pendants on sterling silver chain, bracelets of pearls, hair accessories, chokers and lariats. The individual pieces all have names associated with the powers of the sea and summer time. From the pictured Mexican Mermaid (small image above) with its orange Mexican agate and peach stone coin, to the Wisdom Sea Charm with its hand carved pendant made from coconut shell and smoky quartz.

But Susie did not stop simply at beautiful design and art-like finish, she says, “Feminine energy is missing in the world. Women are busy working hard, looking after children and are constantly giving to themselves to others. It’s time for restoring beauty and healing”. Each semi precious stone has been selected not only for its beauty, but traditional healing properties. The pictured Charming Choker in rose features clear quartz which brings blessings into your life, rose quartz for self love and attracting love and pearls for integrity, purity and grace.

My favourites in the range have to be the hair accessories. Susie has lent her hand to creating a unique range of hair jewellery including beautiful hair clips and hair sticks, which are studded with pearls and crystals. These items are unlike anything I've ever seen before and are a stylish alternative to the normal hair accessories. Pictured is the Golden Angel of the Sea hair stick which has been popular and is a clever idea for special occasions like balls and weddings, although Susie wants to see women wearing them on a daily basis “dressing up their hair and celebrating their femininity”.
