Elizabeth Arden Bohemian Bronze Colours I’m so in love with Elizabeth Arden’s limited edition bronzing collection. Inspired by glistening sun and the lavish textures of a bohemian bazaar, the collection features products for the eyes, lips, cheeks, nails and body. The Sun Goddess Bronzing Powder ($59) is to die for. Beautifully packaged, it took me a while to actually use it as I didn’t want to destroy the flower motif worked into the powder (luckily despite my constant use it’s still looking gorgeous). This bronzer, which comes with a handy brush, gives a perfect radiant glow to the face and body. Definitely a product to treat yourself or a good friend with.
Smashbox Fall 2006 Colour Collection It may great range from the cult brand Smashbox will keep you one step ahead of the faseem odd to be writing about an autumn collection as we’re going into spring, but this shion pack. The focus is on vibrant colour, with a focus on eyes. The fantastic Eye Shadow Quads were created to complement and enhance every eye colour. I’m totally in love with the Jet Set Waterproof Eyeliner ($54) in ‘Illume’ a metallic emerald green that gives a dazzlingly different look. Also well worth purchasing is the Lip Gloss ($49) in ‘Radiant’, which is made from a new formula. I’m addicted to this shade and almost cried when I thought I’d managed to lose it (luckily it was still lurking in the dim recesses of my handbag).
Covergirl Incredifull Lip Colour Budget feeling a bit tight but still desperate for something new for your makeup bag? Give Covergirl’s new Incredifull Lip Colour a go. This fantastic lipstick works to give you the appearance of fuller, plump lips (and our lips are definitely one of the parts of our bodies where bigger is better!). The product contains Vita-Collagen, a complex which continually takes in moisture to get your lips looking gorgeous. Coming in 15 great shades, this wonder product is a steal at only $16.99.
nzgirl Cosmetics Range This brand spanking new range, which is sold through the nzgirl store is specially designed to suit kiwi girls’ skin. With everything from glimmering eye dust to glowing bronzer, these affordable products are all formulated from high quality ingredients. I’m particularly enamoured with the Liquid Jojoba Foundation ($39). Containing SPF 15, it has a gorgeous natural satin finish that delivers a totally flawless look. It’s great because it works for all skin types and the light to medium cover is specially designed to photograph well (making it perfect for special events). At half the price of what I normally spend, this is definitely a foundation to try.
StriVectin-SD It would be easy to confuse this wonder product for some sort of medical concoction your doctor might prescribe you but don’t be put off by the plain packaging and no-nonsense name, because if you’re interested in beating wrinkles or stretchmarks this is the cream for you. Lauded by a band of celebrity followers, StriVectin-SD started life as a highly effective stretchmark busting cream. Its amazing wrinkle reducing properties were then accidently discovered, which has lead to it becoming the buzz word in anti-aging formulations. The product contains a combination of skin firming agents, elasticisers and skin hydrators which work together to achieve results that have seen it touted as “better than botox”. Results like that don’t come cheap, however, so expect to pay $175.00 rrp for the Eye Cream Variant.
