The Appearance The site’s homepage shows the most recent photo submissions, and if you’re after a quick fix, you don’t really need to browse the rest of the site. On the homepage at the moment, there’s a demented looking prairie dog, a sneezing mouse, baby pandas, a hamster, a baby bunny, and a crazy fat wombat. My favourite was the fluffy “Firefox” dog with his flame coloured tail and Mohawk.
The Content As you may have figured, there’s not a whole load of text on the site. It’s all about the pictures. However, I found the site pretty hard to navigate – the menu on the left hand side constantly changes as you click through the pictures. It took me a few clicks of the “Back” and “Refresh” buttons to get the original menu back so I could go “awwww” over the baby pandas again. I later realised that the site is divided into monthly archives, so if you want some sense of order, you have to click on the months on the left hand side.
The Extras As far as extras go, all you can really do is submit your own cute pictures and leave comments on other people’s. There’s also a bunch links to similar sites – Cats In Sinks was worth a look if you’re bored (yep, it's photos of cats. And kittens. In sinks).
Overall ranking: 7/10 While the site is not exactly user friendly, I’m a big fan of cute pics. Show me baby pandas in a nursery any day.
