The OC Mix 2

This is the second mix CD from the hugely successful TV show The OC.

It’s perfect summer music, conjuring up images of driving to your bach, relaxing on the beach with friends or sunbathing in your backyard.

‘Pretty’ is probably the best way to describe the songs on this album.

They are all in a very similar vein - a guy with a pretty voice accompanied by some soft rock in the background. But this makes it a really easy listen, and The OC Mix 2 is great background music.

There are definitely some stand out tracks - for me, they were “Something Pretty” by Patrick Park, “A Lack of Colour” by Death Cab for Cutie, and “Trouble Sleeping” by The Perishers.

Because the show is aimed primarily at teenagers, I was very surprised that this compilation wasn’t more pop-orientated.

In fact, being a bit of a pop tart myself, I haven't heard of half of the artists featured on this CD. But if you’re like me, and into your pop music, you’ll still really enjoy this album.

It’s great music to chill out to. I’ll definitely be thrashing this CD this summer!
