About You
How do you sleep?

Part II: Single Gals

Click here to read about couple's sleeping positions.

On Your Side
- Your ability to fall asleep easily, translates into rest of your life - you are generally adaptable and prone to “going with the flow”.
- Dislike playing mind games or practical jokes.
- Men who favour this position are usually mild-mannered and rational. The fact that they take up only a small amount of space is often associated with them being a giving lover.

If you are rigid on your side like a log then…
- You are easygoing, social and flexible in your thinking- which means you’ll be more likely to have sex on the first date.
- You are extremely trusting and have a desire to be a part of the “in-crowd” - BUT can also be quite gullible.

If you sleep on your side with your arms outstretched in a yearning position then…
- Seen to be reaching for something or someone - the answer to the meaning of life, a missing lover etc
- You have an open nature but tend to be slightly cynical and suspicious - won’t buy pickup lines etc. You also don’t like making rushed decisions.
- You like to get the most out of life, but aren’t obsessed with sacrificing everything to get ahead.

If you sleep curled up in the foetal position then…
- You are likely to be vulnerable, sensitive, shy, trusting and quite possibly sociable.
- More than likely you will be a tough cookie on the outside, yet underneath it all gentle-hearted on the inside.
- Long for security, intimacy and joy.
- May be shy when you first meet somebody, but soon relax. In bed and relationships in general you are likely to be more willing to explore and try new things. Likely to be quite demanding in certain situations.
- Often a great source of advice for your friends and family.
- This is the most common sleeping position for women!
- Men who prefer the foetal position are feeling vulnerable and if they cling to a pillow are usually searching for security, and can be seen to be guarding their heart.

Face Down
- You tend to be expressive, creative, focused and super organised. You often have strong beliefs and ideals that you stick to.
- Often a punctual person who likes to have things done YOUR way! This can lead to you being a bit of a control freak - but can also mean you are quite successful.
- You constantly strive for perfection - in work, sport and friendships and are very loyal to your friends and family.
- Quite sensitive to criticism, tendency to shy away from commitment.
- Men who sleep face down tend to be full of passion and energy and very hands on. Tendency to dominate the bed, can translate into a tendency to dominate the relationship as well.

Face Up
- You tend to be confident, outgoing and optimistic in your approach to life.
- Likely to be a go-getter who succeeds, although can at times be big-headed or self-centered.
- Men who prefer to sleep face up are likely to ooze confidence and sex appeal and crave new experiences and challenges in their life. They also tend to be the most vain - this is the position which reveals the most skin after all.

If you sleep rigidly on your back, like a soldier then...
- You are more prone to being quiet and reserved and avoid conflict situations.
- Set high standards for yourself and others around you.

If you sleep sprawled out like a starfish then…
- You tend to be a good listener and very helpful, the one in the background who doesn’t demand attention and prefers to shy away from the spotlight.
