If you could have 24 hours with one person – living or dead – who would it be and what would you do?
STEVE: I’m experiencing a long distance relationship so I would definitely spend it with my partner and what we would do is probably quite x-rated so I can’t tell you that. We’d go out for dinner and wine though.
ANDREW: I was going to say Steve, but seeing as he’s going to be with his partner I don’t want to have anything to do with that so I’ll have to say I’d spend it with my girlfriend too.
What’s the most tragic item in your wardrobe?
STEVE: I’ve got this crazy bow tie that I wear to fancy dress parties. It’s a hook on one with purples and blues and reds and greens – it’s a crazy-ass thing I got from the Salvation Army op shop in St Kilda.
ANDREW: Mines a shirt of Steve’s that I borrowed once!
What celebrity do you lust after?
STEVE: (looks behind him at the posters on the wall) Craig David – silly question…silly answer!
ANDREW: It would probably have to be Tom Larkin (Pacifier)
STEVE: I’ve seen you guys getting it on back stage at the gay bar...gay bar!
What’s your dream car?
STEVE: Ford Mustang
ANDREW: Yeah same actually – inspired by Swervedriver – a UK band that no longer exist. They had a band called Mustang Ford, but the car stands up on its own merit as a cool car.
What song is the soundtrack to your life?
STEVE: Breaks Co-Op, who are an NZ outfit. “Do you know how much I love you…”
ANDREW: Swervedriver’s Duress
What’s the best present you’ve ever been given?
STEVE: (Holds out hand) This ring, the silver ring my girlfriend bought me.
ANDREW: A travel bag
What’s the coolest thing you’ve ever set fire to?
STEVE: Andrew’s jeans. He had a little rip in his knee and there was all this stuff hanging out of it so I lit it on fire.
ANDREW: Are you serious, is that the coolest thing you’ve set fire to? You’re sad.
STEVE: Your coolest thing is probably farts!
ANDREW: There’s nothing that I’ve set fire to that is cool enough, so maybe the “RAGE WITHIN”? I’ve set fire to that a few times.

STEVE: Ugly
ANDREW: Potato – I don’t know why… (laughs)

STEVE: Craig Terris – he’s a person who drinks a lot of beer. He’s my housemate – he plays in a band called Cassette.

STEVE: Sausages!
ANDREW: Sauce? – Isn’t that tragic!

STEVE: Yummy

STEVE: Andrew…definitely my best mate. We’ve been hanging out for a bout 12 years.

STEVE: 2 years
ANDREW: 6 years
What’s the best thing about women?
STEVE: Comfort…they’re very soft and yummy and curvy and sexy
ANDREW: Boobies.
What’s the most annoying thing?
STEVE: Periods...nah, periods aren’t annoying just some of the behaviour is. I’m a sensitive guy and I get the hottie and the Naprogesic and things…
ANDREW: Boobies. My other annoyance is women’s inability to deal with hangovers.
STEVE: This is going to paint a really bad picture of us isn’t it? Just as long as our girlfriends don’t read it we’ll be fine!
What’s the biggest rebound no-no?
STEVE: Obviously sleeping with someone straight away.
ANDREW: Re-rebounding…as in going back to the source of the break up…or maybe that’s a good thing!
If you could do a celebrity endorsement for any product, what would it be?
STEVE: Nikon – F5 would be my second choice.

Home cooked meal or restaurant?
STEVE: Home-cooked meal. I’d have a nicely cooked steak with garlic and onion and some steamed vegetables followed by a nice little sorbet…
ANDREW: Restaurant. Me Goreng from Satay Village in Wellington.
What reality TV show would you go on?
STEVE: What’s that one with the fake millionaire guy? Not as Joe Millionaire, but as one of the chicks.
ANDREW: I’d be on America’s Most Wanted
