Stacey Orrico has a relaxed sense of style that any nzgirl can carry off! We can’t afford an army of stylists to make us look as good as them, but nzgirl can let you in on a few of their styling secrets…
Stacie's out and about style is typical of a teenager - all about jeans and singlets or tees, but she does bring out her dressy side as well. nzgirl loves Stacie’s style because it’s so similar to our own, and a world away from the dodgy mini’s and sparkles favoured by some other pop stars. “I don't feel attractive that way," she says.
Make Up:
Stacie's eyes are the feature she plays up the most! She achieves this dark, smouldering look by applying a soft, shimmery pink cream shadow (try Maybelline Cool Effects in Frosty Pink) over her lids up to her browbone. Next you want to apply eyeliner to the top and bottom rims of your eye, smudging gently with a cotton bud or made up sponge. Those girls after the super-lush lash look can apply a strip of false eyelashes to each upper eyelid, but most people will achieve this look by first curling their upper lashes with a eyelash curler, then applying a generous coat of mascara to both top and bottom lashes.
Stacie always has fresh, glowing skin, so brush a little bronzer all over your face using a big make up brush, then put the same shimmery eye cream as you did on your eyes, on your cheeks! Start on the apples of your cheeks and blend on your jawline. Finish your look with some pink lippy or gloss and you’re away!
Hair:
Stacie’s hair in her “Stuck” is kind of '50s, but her everyday look is a simple bob. The key to this look is the part. Try either a centre parting with plenty of lift or a side parting with a sweep of hair falling over one eye. You can give you hair lift by spraying the roots with volumising spray before blow-drying it straight with a paddle brush. If you’re after the sweeping hair look, blow dry your hair as per usual, then rub a little shine serum through the front of your hair. Set your eye sweeping piece of hair with some hairspray. Voila!
