We've pulled together seven simple tips to help keep your body in tip top shape! After all, your body is a temple - so why not treat it right? It's not as hard as you may think... 1: Eat breakfastEating breakfast everyday will help improve your overall nutrition, ability to concentrate and ability to control your weight. It’s recommended that you should wash your hands with soap for 20 seconds. And if you’re on the go, a hand sanitizer is effective in killing many types of bacteria, viruses and fungi. 3: Get enough sleepGive you body the time it needs to rest – experts recommend between 7-10 hours a night. Research has shown that sleep may help to prevent cancer, reduce stress, heal the body and even help reduce the risk of depression. 4: Exercise regularly Regular exercise will not only help to keep your body in shape, but also keep your heart healthy. Getting your heart rate up regularly also helps to improve your immune system – when you exercise your immune cells move with increased speed throughout your body, attacking pesky bacteria and viruses. This lasts for a few hours after a work out, but if you’re exercising regularly every day, it will last longer. Think long term girls! 5: Wear SPFIt’s the number one tip of most beautiful people – and there’s a good reason for it! Wearing SPF is the best way to protect your skin from ageing (aside from staying completely out of the sun – but that’s no fun). UV rays from the sun are super damaging to the skin – not only can they cause skin cancers and sunburn, but they also can result in wrinkles, dryness, and age spots. Protect your skin by always wearing at least an SPF 15, and being sun smart (slip, slop, slap and wrap ladies)! 6: ProbioticsProbiotics are good bacteria known to help boost the immune system. Good bacteria, such as lactobacillus acidophilus and bifidobacterium animalis have a wide range of benefits, including combating infections, allergies and exposure to toxins, as well as regulating the digestive system. Either take a probiotic on it’s own, or try a cup of yoghurt containing acidophilus every day. 7: Treat yourself to a massage You may think you should save getting a massage for a special occasion, but the truth is regular massages are a great way to keep your stress levels under control and remove toxins from your body.
