Tips for Stress Free Christmas Saving

Could you use a helping hand when it comes to budgeting for Christmas? We've found a programme that could really help you out…

hampsta is a new way to enjoy flexibility and freedom, while saving for a stress-free Christmas. Unlike other programmes, gives you the freedom of having your funds in a handy EFTPOS style card, that you can use to shop till you drop at over 300 stores nationwide (including Liquorland, Hoyts, Toyworld - click here for a full list of participating retailers) during the Christmas period.

Plus it's completley guilt free spending - because you're spending all of your own money! Visit www.hampsta.co.nz for more information.

We asked Helene Wilkinson, a hampsta member (and winner of a year’s supply of VnC Cocktails – just for joining!) to give us some insight on how hampsta is helping her to have a stress-free and fabulous Christmas. Plus you could also win 1 of 700 VnC Cocktails - click here to find out how...

How she heard about hampsta...
Initially through word of mouth and then noticed billboards

Why she joined...
I thought it would be a great way of getting my parents a Christmas present, and gifting them the 'loaded' card to use over the Christmas period. Paying it weekly, and even though small amounts, it is actually a very simple and easy way to get them a great present that will be very useful to them

What goodies the hampsta card will buy...
I imagine my dad going crazy on thick T-Bone steaks for himself and bulk dog bones for the dog, and mum indulging in some clothes shopping at Postie Plus, as well as a few visits to the movies.

Joining is easy...
I responded to an email campaign, and joined online. It was incredibly easy. I set up the online payments within minutes. It was a simple, hassle free, convenient way of joining and I didn't have to spend ages working my way through a call centre or automated phone system.

How hampsta compares to other Christmas programmes...
I had previously thought about joining Chrisco, and looked at the different types of hampers that I could get. But being locked in to a specific bundle of items (some wanted, some unwanted) was a little off putting. With hampsta I can also make use of special deals and offers on over the Xmas period - or at least my parents will be able to. I am going to see how they like it, and will probably set one up for my husband and myself too. It's just so easy.

Helene's tips for a Merry Christmas...
Let the kids get involved as much as possible. At the moment we are the kids, so as 30 somethings we are now cooking and arranging Xmas day, so everyone comes to us...means less family arguments, and our parents can relax more.

The hampsta experience so far...
Absolutely fantastic. I have been kept informed via email about the status of my membership. I also was really fortunate to win a year's supply of VnC cocktails for joining up. Regardless of this extra win, I have been thoroughly impressed with the professionalism of the company. Your money is safe, you can choose what you want when you want it (over the six week period - Dec 1 to Jan 10), and it is quite exciting to think about the 'splurge' that will happen when the shopping period commences. The thrill will last a lot longer than opening a hamper over a few minutes.

If you're considering joinin hampsta...
What are you waiting for... Join up! I know that people will say that they can save the money themselves... But the reality is that we don't. Once hampsta is set up, you don't notice /feel the payments, and there is so much more on offer at the end of the year.  It's like paying for insurance; you're paying every week towards it.... Except with hampsta you will get the money back every year!  How can you not want to join?

WIN! You could win 1 of 1000 bottles of VnC Cocktails and even a Suzuki Swift by joining hampsta now - simply click here...
