The nzgirl team have been shopping up a storm this month - from beautiful dresses to amazing facial treats...
Shannon, FashionFlossie Channel Manager Emmy Dress in Oscar Sequins, $329.00 from Kingan Jones I’m heading off to a wedding in Australia soon and needed a gorgeous new frock that was suitable for a beach wedding, but still a bit glam for the fancy reception. When I spotted this ‘Emmy Dress’ in Kingan Jones I was sold pretty much immediately. The sequins are offset by gorgeous sheer wide straps and a plunging back with tie at the bottom. It hangs beautifully off the shoulders and is perfect not only for my wedding but for the many upcoming Christmas celebrations.
Ramarea, nzgirl editor and SocialFlossie Channel Manager Scrapbook denim jacket, $69.95 from Wild Pair
It’s been getting a bit too warm for my beloved leather winter jackets, so I’ve been on the hunt for a cute, spring/summer friendly denim jacket. I saw this one at Wild Pair and instantly fell in love! It’s cropped so it’s not too heavy, and I like the lighter denim look. It was also a very wallet friendly $69.95 – score! I’ve been wearing it loads, and discovered it’s especially great for nights out because it doesn’t get too hot and annoying. Bonnie, Commercial Manager Environ Intensive Colostrum Gel, $78.95 from Beauty in the Bays With a wedding coming up I thought it only prudent to go see my local beautician for a bit of a helping hand with getting my skin on track. Hats off to the professionals; she took one look at my skin (I STILL get spots at 29 years of age!) and assessed me accurately. She pointed out my diligent use of foaming cleansers and scrubs to get rid of the pimples might be half the cause, as I was removing all the natural protective properties to the skin.
She suggested I move to a cream cleanser and recommended this gel product for use after cleansing. It is about promoting cell renewal, to get rid of the problem areas over the next four weeks. It set me back $78.95, but the results are looking really good after less than a week! I am thrilled!
Nadia, Campaign Manager Mini Tinkerbell Necklace, AU $50 from One Luv Designs
I have always been a fan of One Luv Designs and when the new catalogue landed in my inbox I couldn’t resist! I love this cute Tinkerbell necklace and I currently don’t take my Boh Runga Fantail one off so, it will be nice to mix it up. It is a great everyday piece to wear but, will also translate nicely for nights out! If you want to get your hands on one (or any of her other designs including bambi, a wing, crown and shoe horse amongst others!) check out their great website/online store at www.oneluv.com.au.
My wardrobe is predominantly black, grey and denim – with splashes of red and a shade I like to refer to as ‘watermelon’. So when I clasped eyes on this gorgeous top from the latest Moochi spring collection, I knew I had to have it. Made from the softest, sheer silk in the most divine, watermelon colour that actually just ‘pops’ when you see it (and makes you look far more tanned than you really are!). I like it worn with jeans and a white singlet underneath – or alternatively draped off one shoulder with black cigarette pants and a black singlet. Divine!
Angela, Support Manager Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars, $60 Actually went to Dressmart in Onehunga where I haven’t been for a while – and it's even bigger than before. I swear that place grows faster than a teenager! Couldn’t resist the classic Converse (Chuck, All Star), and loved their bright colours!
