The Bluffer's Guide to a Flat Tummy

We all know we should eat our greens, do our homework and make like a brownie and be prepared...  Despite knowing this is the right way to live we sometimes find ourselves short on time and needing to look prepared, even though we really aren’t at all. 

So here comes the ‘Bluffer’s Guide’ - where you can get all the life saving and last minute tips to help you come across as smart, witty and effortlessly gorgeous but without all the preplanning and effort.
 
So to start you off, here is the bluffer’s guide to a flat belly!
 
The Real Way to Results
A combination of cardio exercise, core strengthening exercises and some time up your sleeve is the REAL way we go to get a flat belly and you’re going to start that new plan on Monday aren’t you? Trouble is, it’s heading towards the weekend and you want to wear that dress without keeping your handbag firmly clutched to your mid regions or accessorising with a poncho!
 
From the Outside In...
We are all shapes and sizes, with tummies to match. For every woman who hates her middle bit there are a thousand women who envy her for it.

So be confident with your body, your body language and posture changes when you feel good about yourself; shoulders back and an ‘I’m on top of the world’ walk will make you look like you own the world and good posture is an instant middle slimmer.
 
You Are What You Eat
While it’s tempting to eat very little in the day leading up to an important event in the hopes that an empty stomach will slim line the torso it’s better to eat the usual amount of food.

The trick is to keep it low fat so that it is absorbed easily without bloating. Make sure you keep up your water intake too. If you don’t eat enough you will get low blood sugar which makes your brain muddled and makes you grumpy and dislike yourself.
 
From the Outside
Your selection of underwear is very important in the last minute dash for ab perfection. No, you don’t need to pour yourself into granny style control knickers, just make sure your undies are comfy so you don’t spend the night adjusting and a good fit so you don’t have tide lines visible under your outfit!
 
The golden rule is “Don’t look down!”. Your belly looks twice the size from the top, that’s why mirrors were invented - so you can see yourself from the front.
 
At the end of the day it’s all about having fun, sure a perfect set of abs will make you like your middle better but in the end it’s all about getting out there and enjoying the body you’ve got, even if it it’s not the body you always want.
