This week guest bloggers Tee and Lucy share what they've been loving this week, from a car that parks itself to the perfect excuse to indulge in your favourite cupcake. Get amongst it...
Where the Wild Things Are Trailer What kid didn't want to pull a Max, throw on a wolf suit and sail across the sea to the land where the wild things are? I had to verify it with my Mum recently (afraid that a mix of the current hype and nostalgia had clouded my memory), but turns out this was the book I requested night after night. Fans will know that guru director Spike Jonze has been allowed by Maurice Sendak to create his own wild rumpus on the big screen. Watch the trailier here, it'll make you happy and desperate for the film to be released. And the song that gets you tapping your foot, that's Arcade Fire's 'Wake Up'.
Toyota’s Third Generation Prius i-Tech This car can park itself! I was sold on this amazing feature of the new Prius i-Tech alone, but it also has even more impressive bells and whistles like inbuilt satellite navigation and remote control air conditioning so you can set your car to the perfect temperature before you climb in – no wonder it’s so popular with Holywood celebs. Plus, this car is even greener than its predecessors with a solar panel on the roof. Sit back and watch the amazed glances as you cruise around in this car! Cupcake Day, August 31 Eating delicious cupcakes and helping the little critters at the SPCA, what’s not to love? That’s right on August 31st cupcake sellers will be popping up all over the place with all the profits going to support the SPCA. There are even prizes for the most creative cupcake, the most extreme cupcake eating and the Why not get behind the fundraiser in your office too and wow your colleagues with your delicious baked goods (are you listening Team Sales?). Check out www.cupcakeday.co.nz to find out more.
Decongestion Candle & Rub As someone currently battling a nasty cold, I’m loving my Decongestion Candle & Rub from Candles of New Zealand. With a blend of eucalyptus, lemon and honey, it’s designed to help fight congestion and cold symptoms - as well as smelling really good! After burning, and once the flame is extinguished and candle has begun to cool, you can even use the natural wax as a rub to help ease your decongestion even more – genius! Check out their full range of yummy scented candles at Candles of New Zealand.
